New Orleans Eats: The Store

We didn't know how long we were going to be looking at houses so we had to start the day off right. We needed breakfast.  The Store was just a few blocks away and from their online menu we knew there were options we could eat.

Patrick had the omelet with spinach, tomato, goat cheese and bacon.
It was loaded with fillings and he really liked it, other than the goat cheese.  He said he should have asked for some good ol' cheddar and it would have been perfect.

I had the Eggs Gravier: two poached eggs over pulled pork, sautéed spinach with  marchand de vin.
Now this was unique.  The  marchand de vin tastes like a really rich, savory pan gravy, with a touch of vinegar (maybe apple cider).  The pork is tender and tasty and mixing all the elements makes for a delicious breakfast.  The only things that could be a little bit better were the poached eggs.  They were a bit overdone and think that a little yolk would have made this a-mazing.

We would definitely go back here again, hopefully after we can eat carbs again!
