Jackson Metro Ears: Keifer's

Since the richness of Christmas is upon us, we decided for our wallets' (and bellies) sake, that we are gonna take it a little easier the next couple date nights.  We haven't had Keifer's (Urbanspoon) since we moved here, so it just sounded good.

We started with pita feta with feta sauce.
Deeelicious.  This was a yummy way to start off our dinner.  If you have never been to Keifer's, make sure you order something with the feta sauce (if you like feta), it is so, so, so good.

This is a bad, bad picture of the gyro, but it was really good too.  I always add grilled feta to mine (are you seeing a pattern here?) and have everything on it.  One of the things I love is that the lettuce always taste so fresh and the onions are mild.  I don't know how they do it, but it's good. And if you don't believe me, maybe you'll believe Cat Cora-It's one of the best things she's ever eaten!

Next, are the cottage fries.
It's a whole potato, sliced and fried (exactly the way I like it, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside).  My only complaint, is that they weren't salted well, but that was easily fixable.

No picture of Patrick's, because he was hungry.  He got the polish sausage wrapped in a pita and while it sounds weird, he said it was really good.

Keifer's continues to be a favorite of mine, and when I'm in the mood for a gyro, it's where we are going.

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE Keifers! I use to eat there at least twice a week because it is only walking distance from The Clarion Ledger. (That is the one that is downtown not the one near Fondren.)
